Nature Play Online Salon

Connecting to Nature from Home, Revisiting the Nature Play Process in Community

This salon offers members the opportunity to learn about Kaspar Kiepenheuer’s Nature Play process, to engage in a personal nature play process, and to reflect together about what it is like to create and witness nature play scenes in an online format.

Connect with nature and the sandplay community from your own home, backyard, favorite landscape, or park. In this salon, we will take time to gather and reflect on the process of working with natural materials, utilizing Kiepenheauer’s Nature Play. After reviewing the process, there will be an opportunity to create your own nature play, and then to return to the group to share experiences. A copy of Kiepenheauer’s 1997 Journal of Sandplay article will be provided to attendees in advance, as well as a list of suggestions for creating a nature play from home.

Amy Jessen, MA Psychology, Doctoral Student in Clinical Psychology, will facilitate the salon. Sponsored by Jill Kaplan, CST-T.

REGISTRATION: Please click here to register. The salon is free to NCRSS members and offers STA Training Credits (1.5 hrs). Tax deductible donations in support of the salon are welcome. A suggested donation of $10 can be made via the NCRSS website https://www.californiasandplay.org
