The NCRSS Board has chosen the theme of Afternoon Tea as way to acknowledge the value and importance of personal connection. We invite you to NCRSS Annual Gathering of community with this nurturing and simple structure. Our wish is to both honor tradition and provide a forum to meet anew for our first in-person NCRSS Gathering since 2019. Our theme was inspired by the “Soirees” that Dr. Kay Bradway, PhD. JA, ISST founding member, and first President of STA provided to convene the beginning STA community in Northern California.

Opening Ceremony
Ellen LeBel, past NCRSS Board President will facilitate a ceremonial opening created by Dr. Hayao Kawai, PhD, JA, ISST founding member, and past ISST President. This interactive exchange will use randomly chosen sandplay figures to deepen the experience and meanings behind figure usage in sandplay. This process honors ISST founder Dora Kalff who reminded Sandplay practitioners to trust the process and to be “actively involved with exchange with other members of the experience you make with Sandplay.”

The last agenda item will be the announcement of openings on the board for the 2023-2025 term.
Afternoon Tea
Beverages and light fare of sandwiches and pastries will be served on the balcony. We will have gluten free choices and will include a fruit option as well.
Afternoon Tea time is a time of celebration and an opportunity to socialize and learn more about the NCRSS community. Attendees will also have a chance to make final figure purchases in our fund raising activity.
Announcements
Our closing ceremony will include an announcement period wherein community members will have an opportunity to share their accomplishments and any changes that they have undergone in their practices. Please bring your cards or announcements to share with others.
