Transformation in Jungian Sandplay and Expressive Arts: Using the Imagery of Colors in Dreams, Art and Clinical Practice with Lynne Ehlers, Ph.D., CST-T

  • NCRSS 1480 Lincoln Avenue San Rafael, CA, 94901 United States (map)

C.G. Jung devoted the last third of his life to the study of alchemy, recognizing that the work of the alchemists was a metaphor for the process of transformation and change in the human psyche.  In particular, he focused on the colors of alchemy as unique stages in the process of growth and development and stressed above all the process of integrating the archetypal masculine and feminine energies in the psyche. This class will focus on the sequential stages, the nature of these energies and how to balance them in ourselves and in our clinical practice.

 Learning Objectives:

  1. Describe how Jung viewed alchemy as representing the process of change in the human psyche

  2. Discuss the integration of archetypal masculine and feminine energies in the psyche

This class will take place via Zoom on Saturday, May 14th from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm PDT. The cost is $105 for NCRSS members and $125 for non-members. Attendees will receive 3 CE credits and 3 STA credits.
